About Minnesota Thermal Science:

Minnesota Thermal Science, LLC develops unique storage and shipping systems that address the challenges of maintaining constant and predictable temperatures when transporting perishable medical materials.

Founded in 2004 following an industry wide search by the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research for a more effective combat environment container, MTS has continued to apply its technology to handle other important medical materials including all types of blood and pharmaceuticals that require to be either chilled, frozen, super-frozen, or room temperature.

Our patent pending Golden Hour® Technology, winner of a "U.S. Army Greatest Inventions" award, is credited with saving soldier's lives on the battlefield and with revolutionizing the methods used for distributing blood products.

Examples of products that are able to be shipped and stored more effectively due to this new technology now include all types of blood products, other biomedical materials such as laboratory samples and donor organs, as well as a wide range of important pharmaceuticals such as insulin and vaccine.

Our Technology:

Holds temperature sensitive shipments within their required temperature range, protecting the payload in either hot or cold ambient conditions.

Extends the timeframe, distance, or allowable ambient temperatures of shipments, achieving results that greatly exceed other passive containers.

Adds flexibility to distribution systems by allowing the use of standard delivery methods instead of expensive temperature controlled, express and direct delivery services.

Eliminates the inherent mess and variability of using wet ice or gel pack inserts, and avoids the high cost and hazardous-material restrictions of dry ice.
Reduces the amount of labor needed in training, validation and ongoing cold chain operations.
